Project Bikelife Wheelie Practice Planner
Twenty minutes. One empty lot. No highlight music.
Set a 20-minute timer. Use a learner bike from the dealership. Confirm controls so you know lift versus brake. Then follow the blocks. The theory sits in how to wheelie; this page is only the clock.
Setup
- Official place, not a clone (official).
- Empty rectangle of asphalt. No job markers.
- Camera high enough to see horizon.
- Note app for the scorecard at the bottom.
- No scripts, no “wheelie assist” download.
Minute blocks
0:00–3:00 — Rolls. Throttle up, brake to a stop, no lift. If you cannot stop, you are not ready to lift.
3:00–8:00 — Two-count holds. Lift, count two, recover. After a loop, park for ten seconds. Do not mash revenge lifts.
8:00–14:00 — Five-count holds. Same lift, longer hold. If you oscillate, shrink throttle. Horizon, not fender.
14:00–18:00 — Recover to swerve. Hold, recover, then one left or right on two wheels. Not a lean while looping.
18:00–20:00 — Best-of-one. One clean five-count. Stop on success even if time remains.
If you fail the last minute, do not add overtime. Overtime teaches tilt.
Scorecard (copy this)
| Metric | Tonight | Last time |
|---|---|---|
| Two-count holds | ||
| Five-count holds | ||
| Loops | ||
| Clean recovers | ||
| Swerves after recover | ||
| Ended on a success? | yes / no |
Compare next session. If loops drop and five-counts rise, you are winning even if cash is flat. Cash comes later via earn money.
Bike rules during the drill
Do not switch to a limited mid-timer. Do not “just try” a clip frame. The planner measures you, not the shop. If a patch retuned physics (updates), reset the scorecard instead of blaming the last row.
Optional add-ons (only after two good nights)
- One trick inside a hold — see combos.
- Same drill at dusk lighting if the map has a clock.
- Same drill on an errand bike, not a learner, as a graduation test.
When to stop using this tool
When five-counts are boring and you can recover into a job marker without thinking. Then this planner becomes a warm-up, not a class. Until then, it is the most honest “meta” in the wiki.
Print it. Ride it. Log it. That is the whole tool.
Troubleshooting the timer
If you cannot finish twenty minutes, split it: two-count block tonight, five-count tomorrow. The planner is not a streak app. If the lot is crowded, move. Other riders are not your drill partners unless you agreed. If a job marker sits in the rectangle, ignore it until the timer ends. Mixing income into a hold class trains you to rush recovers. If physics feel new after an update, restart at 3:00 even if you “graduated” last week. Graduation is not a rank in this game. It is last night’s note. Keep the first-session checklist for launch issues and this page for skill issues so you do not confuse a wrong place ID with a bad lift.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for new riders and returning players.
Can I do this on mobile?
Yes if you can brake and lift without covering the camera. Use landscape and an empty lot.
What if I loop five times in a row?
Park, drop speed, return to two-count holds. Do not jump to the five-count block.
Should I use a limited for faster progress?
No. Learner bikes tell the truth. Limiteds hide it.
Is there a video of this drill?
The getting started page embeds a real Project Bikelife session for motion context. The drill itself is this timer.
